Harbor COV, Inc.

Families escaping domestic violence face enormous odds as they strive to become healthy, productive families and individuals. HarborCOV provides assistance through counseling, intervention, and housing programs, including options for shelter, transitional, and permanent housing.

Elton + Hampton Architects has worked with HarborCOV to create several new housing facilities for this special needs community, including this twenty-four unit building designed for permanent housing. The project combines staff and community spaces on the ground and street levels, accessible to the greater Chelsea community as well as the building’s occupants.

Built with durable materials and attention to security issues, the project will save over 50% on operating energy costs, while providing a healthy new housing alternative.
